Biography:

Maria Linder holds a B.A. in chemistry from Vassar College and a Ph.D. in biochemistry from Harvard University. She served as assistant and associate professor of physiological chemistry at MIT, before joining the faculty at California State University, Fullerton, where she is professor of chemistry and biochemistry. She teaches basic and advanced courses in biochemistry, including nutritional and environmental biochemistry, and regulation of metabolism in mammals. Her research focuses on the metabolism and function of proteins associated with copper and iron in mammals, in health and disease, as well as during fetal and post-natal development.
