Biography:

Since the late 1990s, Mariusz Ozminkowski has been teaching communication, media and politics at California State Fullerton and Cal Poly Pomona. Among the courses she teaches are: "Communication Law," "Public Opinion and Propaganda," "International Politics" and "Media Criticism." She holds a Ph.D. in political science (1999) and M.A. in public policy (1996) from Claremont Graduate University. In 1992, she received an M.A. in communication studies from Cal State Los Angeles. Her undergraduate studies were in philosophy at Warsaw University in Poland. Her professional career has been divided between academic teaching and journalism. For many years, she has worked as a Los Angeles correspondent for the largest daily in Poland. She is the author of more than 300 published articles, reports and interviews. She covered the Los Angeles riots in 1992, the Olympic Games in Atlanta in 1996, the Bowe-Holyfield heavyweight championship matches, Michael Jackson trial, and many other news events.
