Biography:

Dr. Kristijan Kolozvari received his B.S. degree from the University of Belgrade, Serbia, and his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at University of California, Los Angeles. He joined California State University, Fullerton in fall 2014 after several years working as a practicing engineer in Serbia and Southern California. His research interests and professional experience are related to structural/earthquake engineering, with a focus on design, seismic evaluation and retrofit of reinforced concrete buildings. In particular, his area of expertise includes nonlinear structural modeling, seismic response assessment, performance-based seismic design, tall buildings design, and structural instrumentation and testing. Dr. Kolozvari is actively involved in both research and practice, and he has published his work in several prominent engineering journals. He is an active member of the Virtual International Institute for Seismic Performance Assessment of Structural Wall Systems, which includes approximately 35 academics, researchers and engineers from the U.S., Chile, Japan, New Zealand and Europe, where he leads the Modeling and Analysis working group, one of the institute's three working groups. He is also an active committee member of Earthquake Engineering Research Institute (EERI), American Concrete Institute (ACI), and Structural Engineering Association of Southern California (SEAOSC).
