Biography:

Dr. Jennifer D. Chandler is associate professor of management at California State University, Fullerton in the Mihaylo College of Business and Economics. She holds a B.A. from UCLA, an MBA from the University of Hawaii at Manoa, and a Ph.D. from the University of California, Irvine. Her research focuses on strategic service operations by integrating resource-based view of the firm with social networks analysis. She studies service experiences, as well as the collaborative and knowledge management processes that coincide with service. Using multi-method research, she combines predictive modeling and qualitative data analysis. Her research was recognized with the 2012 CSUF Milton A. Gordon Award for Scholarly and Creative Activity, a 2008 Center for International Business Education and Research travel grant (to fund research in Dubai, UAE), and the 2007 Distinguished Research Award from the Allied Academies International Conference. Dr. Chandler is a 2014 fellow with the Institute for Radio Television and Society / Consumer Electronics Association. Before entering academia, she had a successful media sales, tourism and international event management career. After working with media giants Clear Channel Communications and Raycom Media, she began her own agency, working across the entertainment, tourism, nonprofit, retailing and manufacturing sectors. She teaches "Entertainment Operations" (MGT470), "Strategic Management Capstone" (MGT449), and "Project Management" (MGT444) courses. Her teaching was recognized with the 2013 Instructional Innovation Award by the Mihaylo College of Business and Economics at CSUF, and the 2010 Dennis T. Ching Teaching Award by the Shidler College of Business at the University of Hawaii, Manoa.
