Biography:

Dr. Atul Teckchandani is an associate professor of management in the Mihaylo College of Business and Economics at California State University, Fullerton. He teaches courses in entrepreneurship, organizational behavior and leadership. He has a Ph.D. in business administration (Management of Organizations) from the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley, as well as an MBA from the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas, Austin. Dr. Teckchandani’s research interests focus on two areas. The first involves how the different types of organizations in a community affect economic outcomes, entrepreneurial activity and the founding and failure rates of businesses in the community. Currently, this research are focuses on the effects of two types of organizations: commercial banks and voluntary associations. The second focuses on improving management education. His research has been published in high-quality journals, such as Social Science Research, Nonprofit and Voluntary Sector Quarterly, and Management Teaching Review.
