Biography:
Jia Xie is an assistant professor of finance at Cal State Fullerton. Before joining CSUF, he was an assistant professor of real estate management at Ryerson University and a senior analyst in the Financial Stability Department of the Bank of Canada, where he monitored the Canadian housing market and built models to study the momentum in Canadian household debt. He also provided analytical support to the Financial System Review, one of the major publications of the Bank of Canada. Xie is an expert on agency problems in the real estate market and has been published in top real estate and economics journals, including American Economic Review, International Economic Review, Real Estate Economics, Journal of Real Estate Finance and Economics, and Journal of Real Estate Research.
