Biography:
Lisa Tran (B.A. Pomona College; M.A., Ph.D. UCLA) teaches courses on Chinese, Asian, and world history. She has published extensively on women and the law in China, including a book, Concubines in Court: Marriage and Monogamy in Twentieth-Century China (Rowman & Littlefield, 2015). Her current research focuses on the ethnic Chinese who left Vietnam in the late 1970s.
