Biography:
Dr. Glesser researches finite groups (objects that characterize the symmetries of structures), group representations (objects that characterize groups) and related topics. He triple majored in mathematics, politics and economics at UC Santa Cruz in 2000, and received his Ph.D. in mathematics from UC Santa Cruz in 2006. After postdoctoral positions at the University of Aberdeen (Scotland) and MSRI (Berkeley, CA), he taught for four years in Boston at Suffolk University. He has been a member o the faculty at Cal State Fullerton since 2012. He is an avid board-game enthusiast, Little League baseball coach and mental arithmetist.
