Biography:
Joe Biel is a visual artist. He received an M.F.A. in painting from the University of Michigan and joined the California State University, Fullerton faculty in 2003. His work has been exhibited nationally and internationally at galleries in Los Angeles, New York, Seattle and Berlin. He has been included in group exhibitions at major museums across the country and received Pollock-Krasner Foundation awards in 2003 and 2008. He has shown with Roberts and Tilton Gallery and LA Louver Gallery in Los Angeles and has lectured at the Getty Institute. Biel was included in The Princeton Review's "The Best 300 Professors,” the first comprehensive guidebook to the nation's top undergraduate professors, published in 2012.
