Biography:
Therese Cooper has a master's degree in communication disorders from Whittier College. She is a clinically certified speech language pathologist and holds a California state license. Her professional experience includes working with children and adolescents at College Hospital of Cerritos, the brain-injured population at Casa Colina Hospital in Pomona, various skilled nursing facilities and acute hospitals in Orange County, assisted-living facilities and private practice.She has extensive clinical experience with cognitive, speech and language development; swallowing and neurological disorders; and dementia. In addition, she has teaching and clinical supervision experience at California State University, Fullerton and Chapman University. She is the director of speech and language therapy at a local private elementary school, where she conducts evaluations, provides individual and group therapy, oversees CSUF volunteer interns, and leads classroom lessons for preschool through 8th-grade students.
