Biography:
James Gong is a professor of accounting. He holds a Ph.D. in Business Administration from the University of Southern California. Prior to joining Cal State Fullerton, he was assistant professor at University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign.
His research interests include corporate governance, executive compensation, performance management, capital budgeting and financial reporting. His publications have appeared in Contemporary Accounting Research, Journal of Management Accounting Research, Journal of Accounting Auditing and Finance, Journal of Accounting and Public Policy, Review of Quantitative Finance and Accounting, Corporate Governance: An International Review, Advances in Accounting, Advances in Management Accounting, Journal of Cost Management and Strategic Finance.
He has taught five different undergraduate and graduate courses at Cal State Fullerton, including Intermediate Accounting I &II, Accounting Capstone, Corporate Governance, Advanced Cost Accounting, and Accounting Ethics.
