SociologyBiography:
Christina Chin received her doctorate from UCLA. Prior to joining the Cal State Fullerton family, she was a postdoctoral fellow for the Asian American Studies Department at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. Her teaching and scholarly research interests include immigration, racial and ethnic identity, youth and popular culture (media representation and sports). Her most recent publications have examined Asian American participation in youth sports and Asian American representation in media.
