Biography:
Awarded the “Annie Award” in 2004 for her storyboard work on Disney’s "Dave the Barbarian: The Maddening Sprite of the Stump”, Wendy Grieb has drawn storyboards for numerous Disney productions, including: "Pepper Ann," "Tarzan," "Lilo & Stich," "Hercules," "American Dragon" and many others. She is often cast as a “song specialist,” due to her knack for distinctive posing and understanding of animation timing and breakdowns. She focused on storyboarding songs for "Phineas and Ferb" during the last three seasons of this hit show and contributed to designing the show’s opening title sequence. In addition to her work at Disney, Grieb has storyboarded for a variety of studios during her career, including Nickelodeon, Sony/Adelaide and Klasky-Csupo, and also served as a development artist and character designer. She has illustrated six children’s books for the award-winning "Monster and Me" series published by Mighty Media Press. After 17 years at Disney, Grieb left to join the Art Department’s animation faculty at CSUF. In addition to her teaching, she continues to storyboard for Disney and illustrate children’s books. Grieb teaches the storyboard and character design special studies classes and animation pre-production and production classes for the Entertainment Art/Animation concentration.
