Gerard Beenen is a professor of management and associate dean in the College of Business and Economics at Cal State Fullerton. He holds a Ph.D. in organizational behavior and theory from Carnegie Mellon University’s Tepper School of Business, an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management and an M.A. from Fuller Theological Seminary. His research focuses on workplace motivation, creativity and learning, leader interpersonal skills, and management education. His work has been published in leading journals such as Academy of Management Learning and Education, Human Resource Management, and Organizational Behavior and Human Decision Processes. Prior to his academic career, he was CEO of a cancer care center, co-founding vice president of a dot-com, and a management consultant with Bain & Co. and Ernst & Young.
