Biography:
John Hickok is a member of the library faculty at CSUF, specializing in library services to international and ESL (English as a Second Language) students. He has been providing library instruction to such students for since 1997. Because the majority of CSUF's international students are from Asia, he has traveled to every country of Asia (East, Southeast and South Asia), visiting more than 1,000 libraries to research the conditions of libraries there, to better understand and serve international Asian students at CSUF. He was a Fulbright Scholar in 2016. Hickok has a MLIS (Library & Information Science) degree and TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) degree.
