Biography:

Georgia Spiropoulos has published work in the recently edited book, "The California’s Criminal Justice System," and the academic journals Crime & Delinquency, Criminal Justice & Behavior, International Journal of Offender Therapy & Comparative Criminology and Journal of Offender Rehabilitation. She has presented at national and regional criminal justice and criminology conferences such as the American Society of Criminology, Academy of Criminal Justice Sciences andWestern Society of Criminology. She was awarded a Field Institute Faculty Fellowship with the California State University’s Social Science Research and Instructional Council in 2012. Her areas of expertise include evidence-based corrections and correctional rehabilitation, correctional program development and evaluation, correctional theories and philosophies, and theories of behavior and behavioral change. She teaches courses in corrections, research methods, correctional rehabilitation and criminological theory. She holds a Ph.D. in criminal justice from the University of Cincinnati.
