Biography:
Dr. Verma's research interests are within the broad area of artificial intelligence, deep learning, machine learning, pattern recognition and computer vision, such as content-based image retrieval systems, multimedia image search and big data analysis, which have the potential to contribute significantly in a wide range of practical applications. Apart from that, biometrics is also his prime research interest, due to its significance in the surveillance and security domain.
His specific areas of current research are focused on: the color image feature extraction and classification, object and scene recognition, statistical machine learning, similarity measures and neural networks.
