Biography:

Hunter Hargraves is an Associate Professor in the Department of Cinema and Television Arts at California State University, Fullerton, where he researches and teaches on contemporary television and media studies. He is the author of Uncomfortable Television (Duke University Press, 2023), the editor of “Pandemic TV,” a special issue of Television & New Media (2024), and several journal articles and book chapters on reality television, media and mental health, representation in the streaming era, smartphone cultures, and queer media.
