Biography:

Raffaella Commitante earned a Ph.D. from the University of Cambridge, United Kingdom, in biological anthropology. Main research work has focused on orangutan stress levels and behaviors. Current work is bringing resources and increased professional development opportunities for veterinarians and other orangutan care workers and researchers working in southeast Asia. Workshops in Indonesia and/or Malaysia have been ongoing yearly since 2009. Annual reports from the workshops are published with R.Commitante as lead author.
